Your kit contains: 1 light,
1 housing, 1 connector kit, 2 bolts, 2 nuts, 2 spacers.
Place strips of masking tape over the area where the light
is going to be placed.
Draw a centre line horizontal to the exisiting main lights.
Then draw a center point vertically in line with the fuel
filter.
Measure 40mm either side of this and draw 1 vertical line
either side.
Your marking should be as shown below.
Drill the outer 2 holes with a 4.5mm drill, and the center
hole with a 40mm drill.
Place the housing on the car in position and check for fit
at the back. Adjust to get a good fit by sanding with sand
paper as appropriate. Be careful, as you can't put the material
back on.
Then assemble the unit on bench and put pacers on bolts. These
spacers need cutting at an angle to match the back of the
housing when a steel rule is held across the back. Use a junior
hacksaw to cut.
You
are now ready to assemble the unit to the car. If fitting
below the Petrol filler then bond the light to the housing
with hot melt glue before fitting as the lens can be cracked
if petrol is spilt onto it. The hot melt holds the whole assembly
together.
Fit
the connector to the wire and plug into the light unit. Then
feed the assembly through the hole, remembering the spacers
on the back. Once in place, bolt to the car using the bolts,
putting thread lock on the threads to set in place once secured.
DO NOT USE excessive force or you can crack the lens.
When
in use, if you spill petrol on the lens and housing do not
wipe it off, allow it to dry naturally.
